Ingredients

  • 1 Whole Chicken without skin

  • 4 Tbsp Home made Yogurt ( Dahi)

  • 1 Tsp Salt

  • 1 Tsp Black pepper

  • 1 Tsp Whole Spice Powder ( Garam Masala)

  • 2 Tbsp Clarified Butter (Desi Ghee)

  • Juice of Two Lemons

  • 1/2 Cup All Purpose Flour

  • Oil for Deep Frying

Method

Wash the Chicken thoroughly and pat dry with kitchen towel.

Make diagonal cuts on chest and legs.

Cage the chicken using thread. Tie legs and wings so that it does not break apart while cooking.

Mix yogurt, spices, ghee and lemon juice and marinate chicken preferably, over night.

Cook chicken along with marinate in a heavy base pan till cooked and marinade is dried.

Sprinkle Flour all over the cooked chicken and deep fry in very very hot oil till nice red. about 1/2 a minute each side.

SERVE!!!

Notes

  1. Take fresh fresh and small size chicken.

  2. Always marinate for at least 30 minutes....though...THE LONGER THE BETTER. As marinating helps the flavors to be infused equally.

  3. If you want to skip deep frying just add a little oil when marinade is dried and roast till oil is separated.

  4. you can freeze the marinated chicken.
