Chicken Pie
Ingredients
8 x 12 inch ready made Puff Pastry Sheet
1 Small Red Onion, Chopped
2 Small Ripe Tomato, Chopped
2 Cups Boiled & Shredded Chicken
1 Cup Canned Corns
2 Cups Chopped Spinach
4 Gloves Garlic
2 Tbsp Butter
2 Tbsp Olive Oil
1 Tsp Salt
1/2 Tsp Red Chili Powder
1/2 Tsp Paprika Powder
1 Cup Chicken Stock
1/2 Cup Heavy Cream
Egg wash
Method
Thaw the Pastry Sheet.
In a non- stick or heavy base pan add Butter and Olive. Heat om Medium high heat. Sauté Chopped Onion till translucent.
Add Chicken, Spinach, Corn, Tomatoes, Garlic and all spices. Cook on Medium high till Spinach is cooked and mixture is almost dry.
Add Chicken Stock and cook on high for a minute.
Add Heavy Cream and mix. Cook for minute or until mixture is not dry but thick.
Let it get cooled completely.
In an oven proof serving dish pour the cooked Chicken mixture.
Cover completely with puff pastry sheet. prick using fork. Apply Egg wash.
Bake in preheated oven at 225 C (420F) for about 35 minutes or until the Pastry is nicely puffed and golden brown.
SERVE!!!
Notes:
Use Fresh Puff Pastry sheet.
Thaw your Puff Pastry Sheet before use.
Spice level is on hotter side, you can adjust it as per your taste.
Always bake Puff Pastry on the highest Oven Temperature.
