My Journey

Born into a Punjabi family, with my father serving in the Army, our household was always filled with warmth, love, and the aroma of delicious food. As a child, I have watched my mother and grandmother effortlessly preparing mouthwatering meals for our family. Their passion for cooking was contagious, and soon I found myself drawn to the kitchen.

The Memories of my grandmother churning butter using her colorful manual churner every morning right after Fajar prayer is still so vivid. I can still smell the aroma of parathas made from that fresh butter. That Big pot full of Zarda (Meethay Chawal), that Meaty Pulao & Daigi Allo Goosht .......ahhhh, that Maki ki roti and Sarsoo ka Saag, those Mooli kay parathay and Cottage Cheese Sandwiches......that Shahi Kheer and Sheer Khorma......you all must be wondering how foodie we were, YES!! indeed I belong to a very foodie family.

Moving from one Military base to another, food was a constant comfort. My mother's cooking brought our family together, no matter where we were. I remember helping her prepare traditional Punjabi dishes. My grandmother's cooking skills were legendary – her gajar ka halwa and besan ki meethai were always a hit.

Those early years sparked a fire within me. I began experimenting with recipes, blending traditional Punjabi flavors with modern twists. My family's, specially my father's encouragement fueled my passion, and soon I was whipping up meals for our gatherings. As my late father had a sweet tooth, I started learning and cooking desserts, baking cakes & cookies at the age of 14. Since, then I have never stepped back and Alhamdullilah, God has been very kind, whatever I cook every one admires.

Life took a delicious turn when I married into a family of foodies! My husband's love for delicious food and flavors further ignited my passion. Our kitchen became a fusion hub, blending Punjabi traditions with global flavors, Baking cakes and desserts. My husband & daughter's support strengthened my resolve to share my love for food with others and started my home-based baking journey in 2020.

Today, as I share my recipes and stories with you, I'm reminded of the love and laughter that filled our kitchen. Cooking and baking aren't just about following recipes; they're about sharing love, culture, and tradition.

Join me on this culinary journey, where East meets West and love is always the secret ingredient. Let's cook, share, and create memories together!
